.: Why
Martial Arts......
.: For my Child? Martial Arts has tremendous benefits for both children and adults alike. Martial arts training can benefit children in many ways, like developing self confidence, self control, self motivation, self defense, and self discipline. It will also give your child a chance to strengthen his or her body and mind. For the past decade the Martial Arts have regularly been recommended as a tool for the aid of those affected by attention deficit disorders and severe focus/concentration problems as well as aiding those who suffer from a complete lack of self confidence and self worth. In modern society we are always concerned for the well being of our children when they are out of our sight. Through Martial Arts not only does a child learn to protect themselves but they actually become less of a target due to the increased self confidence they gain. A child affected by a lack of confidence will often show it in the manner in which they normally behave and react to situations in which they are feeling uncomfortable. A confident child will usually maintain a more relaxed approach to awkward situations and be able to handle them better. Through our classes children are taught the difference between right and wrong during circle time sessions and shown how they can improve themselves in a positive way and have a positive influence on others. .: For Me? Martial Arts can benefit adults in many ways. All the benefits that the Martial Arts bring a child are equally true for an Adult It is surprising how many adults still lack the confidence to do what they really want to in life. In addition our classes are a great way to increase your strength, flexibility and fitness whilst making new friends. Unlike many Martial Arts classes our adult classes have a relaxed almost informal atmosphere making it suitable for adults of all ages and backgrounds. Unlike training at a gym, in Martial Arts you have ever changing real goals to aim for in the form of a new belt. This takes away most of the monotony associated with training in a gym where you are constantly working on the same equipment with the same exercises. Courses
